On March 2 , 2020 Hunter’s Dawn Star and Shreenwater Blackjack (Clive) became the proud parents of nine Otterhound Litter pups. There are six black and tan males, two black and tan females and a black, brown and white female. After a long night of pacing it was decided that Dawn would deliver by c section. The delivery went quickly but mom Dawn took a while to recover or was just enjoying the chance to sleep :). Mom and pups are doing well. The G Otterhound Litter of Puppies each weighted in at over a pound.
Hunter’s Dawn Star
Dawn was born on December 14, 2015. Her markings are black and tan with white on her underside. She weighed around 90 pounds when bred. Dawn has been shown a couple of times and has worked on tracking at home. She loves to hunt and managed to escape the yard to chase deer a couple of times. This sweet girl is very affectionate and loves people. We had her hips x rayed on May 10, 2018 and received an OFA rating of Good and was tested and cleared for Glanzman’s October 16, 2018 and received her CHIC number on October 25, 2018.
Shreenwater Blackjack (Clive)
Clive was born April 23, 1994 in England. He was imported from the UK by Nancy and Richard Wallens who really enjoyed his sweet nature. He loved going on walks and meeting children, and was always sorry when they said good bye. Clive was a handsome dog, with black and tan with touches of white. Clive has been a good contributor to the Otterhound gene pool with his good bone and substance in a moderate size package as well as good hips and health. Clive passed along his lovely temperament to his offspring. He received an OFA rating of good on May 10, 1996 and has a DNA sample on file with OFA. He died in 2006 at the age of 12. He has sired four litters the last in 2009.
