On May 22 the Hunter F litter became 4 Week Old Otterhounds!
The past week has had a lot of firsts.
The Firsts of 4 Week Old Otterhounds
The pups had their first outing. They were put into a small exercise pen which they quickly decided was too small. The pups are up to running around and they wanted out. They were allowed to run around loose for a few minutes closely supervised by both us and Dora.
As 4 Week Old Otterhounds, they have cut their teeth and have started chewing on the sock monsters and each other. They quickly mastered climbing over the two boards in the doorway so we had to add a third.
On May 22 they had their first taste of solid food (mush) and quickly finished it. The Otterhound puppies have gotten up close and personal with their aunts much to Dora’s displeasure and they have been allowed to wander around the living room while their bed was being changed.
Hunter’s Frisco Traveler
Hunter’s Frisco Traveler was 8.3 pounds on the 22. He is still the most vocal of our 4 Week Old Otterhounds and was the first one to climb out of the whelping box. Frisco always wants to go. If you pick him up he wants down. When wandering around the living room he heads for the front door.
Hunter’s Forest Wanderer
Hunter’s Forest Wanderer was 8.3 pounds on the 22. He sometimes likes to cuddle but mainly likes to run around and play. He loves to fight with his siblings and was the first to play with the sock monsters. Forest wandered around the living room and checked out the bookcases.
Hunter’s Fate of Magicwood
Hunter’s Fate of Magicwood was 7.3 pounds on the 22 and is the smallest of our 4 Week Old Otterhounds. She likes to cuddle some times and will cover you with kisses then fight to get down. Fate likes to wrestle with her brothers and play with the sock monsters. She wandered on to the bookcase to check out the knickknacks.
